Secret 1 - General fandom, fanfiction and fanart

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is dark purple/blue text over a blank white background.]

My biggest fear is dying before I move out and my parents going through all my stuff and discovering all my porny fanart and fanfiction. Even if I did move out I don't have anyone else to collect my belongings.

It's not like I'd even be alive to be embarrassed by it, but I don't want that to be their memory of me.

Secret 2 - Whodunnit?

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is the profile of a Twitter account. It has an icon/avatar that is just a dark red interrogation mark on a blank white background, and behind that is the picture of a knife with blood dripping from the blade. The account is called "@WhodunnitKiller", the name is "The Killer" and there are the words "Rue Manor" beneath the account name.]

Every week after watching Whodunnit?, I always go right to "the Killer's" Twitter and read the tweets. Sometimes I tweet something to him or her, hoping to get a reply. (Nothing yet, but I live in hope.) It's kinda silly, but it's so fun I can't help it.

Thanks to the anon who provided this info!

This is the twitter account of the mystery killer on the US TV show "Whodunnit?" It is a reality show where the premise is that the contestants are trying to figure out which one of them is the killer, while the killer taunts them and kills them off one by one. It's kind of like "The Mole" crossed with And Then There Were None. The killer uses the account to invite audience participation or comment on the events of the show.

Secret 3 - Welcome To Night Vale

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is Cecil Baldwin, the narrator of the podcast "Welcome to Night Vale". He is a man with light skin and super short, balding dark hair, a slight mustache and beard. He is wearing a light gray T-shirt with the picture of a smiling ice-cream or dessert of some sorts with Japanese lettering in a circle around it. He is also wearing rectangular eyeglasses and is holding a wine glass with some light-colored liquid in it in a greeting. He appears to be sitting down somewhere on a street.]

I might get into Night Vale fanart if more of it looked like the real Cecil. He's so cute! It's a shame fandom isn't into the balding. Though it might explain why he's so obsessed with Carlos's hair.

I hate the third eye, too. It's not visually appealing and it feels like no one appreciates the sacrifice of all those dead interns, doing what they can to get updates on new stories. Maybe fanart will never be for me.

Secret 4 - actor Nathan Fillion

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is the actor Nathan Fillion smiling and lightly embracing in greeting the actress Jewel Staite, from the TV show "Firefly". Nathan has light skin and short brown hair. He is a bit wider than he was a few years ago and is wearing a black polo shirt, blue denim pants/trousers and a metallic wrist-watch. The woman has long hair reaching part of her back, it's dyed dark blonde with the original darker brown color showing beneath. She has light skin and is wearing an orange shirt, a black and white scarf with geometrical designs and dark gray pants/trousers, along with a small white handbag hanging from around her neck. They are somewhere with a black curtain behind them.]

I think he's sexier with the extra weight.

Secret 5 - Panic! At The Disco

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is the cover of the single song "Miss Jackson" by the musical group "Panic! At The Disco". It features the lead singer of the group, Brendon Urie, with his back to the viewer. He has light skin and kind of spiky dark hair wearing a dark suit and overlooking a small town or station at a desert-like place, with a shovel stuck on the ground next to him. There is a red sports car between him and the buildings on the distance.]

I'm still bitter that they have moved on without Ryan and Jon.

Bonus secret: As such I was hoping this song would suck.

Secret 6 - The Hunchback of Notre Dame

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is a screen-capture from the animated film "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", where Quasimodo is lifting Esmeralda above him from a balcony of sorts in a huge church-like building, at night, it seems? Esmeralda is wearing a long white dress and has dark olive skin and long black hair. Quasimodo is a short person with light olive skin and wearing a brown tunic or shirt of sorts.]

Forget Hellfire. I think the "Sanctuary!" scene in The Hunchback of Notre Dame is the most epic Disney scene ever!

Secret 7 - Freddie VS Jason

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is a promotional picture or poster from the movie "Freddie VS Jason", featuring the titular characters. Freddie is a man with severely burned and hurt skin wearing a dark hat and wielding metal-clawed hands, while Jason is a wearing a mask with holes for the eyes and for ventilation that covers his face entirely. The rest of him simply looks black or obscured. He seems to be wielding a machete or a similar weapon against Freddie's claws.]

I've friends arguing over who really won in the end. And I don't regret it. I take Jason Voorhees very seriously. Seriously, most of my friends know me well enough to know how I feel about the characters, and they just don't argue about it. We all know Jason won.

Secret 8 - Teen Wolf

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is Sheriff Stilinski from the TV show "Teen Wolf". He is a man with light skin and short dark brown hair wearing a dark leather wristwatch and a dark jacket or shirt. He is pointing a finger at someone on with their back to the viewer and on the foreground, presumably a man. They are indoors.]

Still the sexiest Stilinski in my opinion.

Secret 9 - Air Crash Investigation

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is the logo for the TV show "Air Crash Investigation".]

I used to be perfectly fine with flying, until I started watching this show. Now I have panic attacks every time I board a plane.

Secret 10 - Game of Thrones, Wreck-It Ralph

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is Arya and Sandor from the TV show "Game of Thrones" side by side with Vanellope and Ralph from the CGI animated movie "Wreck-It Ralph". Aria is a woman with light skin and short dark brown hair reaching her jaw. She is wearing a long light gray shirt and a dark brown shirt over that. Sandor is a man with light skin and medium-length brown hair reaching his shoulders. He has a slight beard and mustache and is wearing metallic armor. They are both riding a dark brown horse with a black mane in a forest-type of place, looking serious and upset at something off-screen. Vanellope is a child with light skin and rosy cheeks with long dark brown hair pulled back in a ponytail with a red bow and some loose locks framing her face. She is wearing a green hoodie, a dark skirt and green and white diagonally striped tights with dark shoes. She is standing on Ralph's shoulder and leaning on her arm against his head, smirking haughtily with her eyes half-lidded. Ralph is a man with a robust physique, light skin and short spiky brown hair, wearing a greenish-gray T-shirt or undershirt beneath an orange sweater. He is scowling up at Vanellope.]

Sandor and Arya remind me of Ralph and Vanellope.

Secret 11 - The Princess and the Frog

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is Tiana and Prince Naveen from the animated movie "The Princess and the Frog". Tiana is a young woman with somewhat dark skin and long dark hair pulled up in a bun. She has amber-orange eyes and is wearing dark red lipstick. She is wearing a sleeveless, strapless, shiny light blue dress with white trims, long white gloves extending over her whole arms, a white necklace with a blue stone hanging from it and a silver tiara with three triangles on her head. She is holding Prince Naveen in her hand, who is frog with a wide smile showing his teeth. He is a light green frog with dark green spots on his legs, and a cream-green colored belly. He is standing on his rear legs all cartoon-anthropomorphic-like, looking smugly at Tiana, who is smiling sheepishly back at him.]

It pisses me off when fans come up with excuses as to why Princess and the Frog didn't do so well. "American audiences are racist", "Kids only like CGI movies nowadays", "People aren't interested in Disney anymore", etc.

Let's face it, the movie wasn't great. It was on par with other late Disney films like Atlantis or Treasure Planet. Don't get me wrong, they weren't bad movies. But they weren't the magical, epic, memorable movies of the Disney Renaissance. Princess and the Frog was okay. But it certainly didn't bring back the magic of the Disney Renaissance in my opinion.

The songs weren't memorable (not counting Facillier's song) and didn't add anything to the plot. There were too many pointless scenes, there were too many subplots that detracted from the main plot. And there weren't any jaw-droppingly epic moments like the stamped from The Lion King or Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

It was just... an okay movie.

Secret 12 - General fandom, fanfiction

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is some people camping on a rural-forest-type of place, with a mountain? right next to them. The trees are tall and leave enough of a clearing for the people to set up next to their dark van (which has the back door and one of the side doors open), put a table over boxes, make a fireplace from a box? and set up a sleeping tent. There are two men and two women, all have light skin. One man is crouching down next to the table, wearing a green hat, a light and dark tartan shirt, denim pants and a red vest. A woman is sitting and resting against the table, wearing a brown hat, a light yellow long-sleeved shirt and salmon pants. Another man is sitting at a chair next to the fireplace wearing a light gray hat, a light and dark gray or blue tartan shirt and denim pants, and the last woman is sitting at another chair next to the fireplace wearing a light gray blouse and shorts or skirt, along with dark boots. Oh, and there is a small light brown dog sitting at her feet. Anyway, they seem to have a good deal of urban amenities along with them. Nothing "rough" about their campsite.]

If you write your characters camping rough and describe it like this I stop reading.

Secret 13 - Star Trek The Next Generation

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is Data and William Riker from the TV show "Star Trek: The Next Generation". Data is an android with pale skin and short dark brown hair slicked back. He is wearing a dark yellow uniform with some black on the neck and shoulders. Riker has light skin and short brown hair, and is wearing a similar uniform, but it has red instead of yellow and some black on the stomach and sides. There is dust over his clothes. Data is smiling at him, and he returns the stare seriously or expectantly.

I shipped them like burning. I even wrote a bunch of fics and drew some comics and sketches. Porn too.

Secret because: this pairing is pretty much totally nonexistent.

Secret 14 - General fandom, shipping

[personal profile] transcriptanon 2013-08-15 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
[Picture is Ryuuji Takasu and Taiga Aisaka from the anime "Toradora!". Ryuuji is a teenager with light skin and short blue hair. He is wearing a dark gray dress jacket from a school uniform. Taiga is a teenager, shorter than Ryuuji and has light skin and long light brown hair reaching her waist or maybe even beyond. She is wearing a white shirt and a red dress jacket over that with a dark string-type of ribbon around the neck of her shirt. It seems to be a school uniform too. Ryuuji has a hand on her head and is pinching her cheek, while she is punching him or pushing him away with a fist and reaching for her head to take off his hand. They both look sort of annoyed and she is blushing in anger or embarrassment.]

Extreme height difference ships and their fans always weird me out. The dynamic is almost exclusively that of a father/daughter or older brother/(petulant) little sister. And it gets reflected in real life and is just unbelievably gross.
