(Anonymous) 2013-08-15 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)If this is the first person of the same sex that Hypothetical Friend has ever been interested in romantically/sexually, then I could see HF viewing it as the exception rather than the rule, and considering him/herself to not be gay. Maybe it's just that HF is 97% straight rather than 100%.

My point is that it doesn't say in the original post that there's no banging going on (or that the person doesn't want there to be) so I'm not sure where anyone's getting that from.
