I watched maybe two minutes of it when it premiered and just didn't care, then got interested enough through Tumblr etc. to try again and really liked it but didn't love it (except for Will, that was pretty much instant). The third rewatch was when I really lost my mind over it. Now I'm sitting here wondering how to keep myself from going for a fourth before the DVD comes out next month, lol. It's just so weird and gross and touching and darkly funny, and it's so frustrating that you can stretch it out to only one episode a day and savor the hell out of it, but it's still over too soon because there are only 13 of them! So it was a slow burn for me and could be for you, too, if you ever want to try again. Or not, that's cool. I'm definitely going to start watching the rest of his stuff. I have the broadest taste in men of anyone I know, but I thought at first that he was just weird-looking and didn't get what other people were seeing until I'd stared at him through several cumulative hours of the show. That upper lip is absolutely ridiculous and I love it.

Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily say Mads is ~hot~ but he's definitely got a certain sort of interestingness about his looks. There's a lot of depth there.
