Is it rapey?

My GF is very triggerable, and if it sticks to the comic book I won't be able to take her to see it.

So could someone spoiler it for me? How bad does it get? Rape, implied off screen rape or backstory rape would all be something I'd need to know about. Attempted or threats of rape could be iffy depending on the situation.

If someone could give me some details before sunday I'd be very appreciative.

According to what I have read, the gang rape is not in there. However one of the villains is going to rape a girl but cannot get aroused. It is supposed to be funny but I doubt it is.

How does that scene play out? Does the girl clearly get away safely or die on camera or something? Need to be pretty careful with this stuff. I don't plan on fucking up on this issue again, and ambiguity is not my friend.

This paints a clearer picture. It seems that he tries to attack her, fails, she mocks him and gets beaten as a result.

I'm really not that good a guy. I've fucked up quite badly with triggers in films in the past. Quite a lot in the past actually. So, thanks and all, but no, I don't really deserve any praise on this.

You obviously care, and that's enough for me. I don't like talking about this, but I had an ex who would intentionally make me watch stuff that he knew would be upsetting, so... yeah, anyway. I think your girlfriend is really lucky to have you, regardless what you yourself may think.

We all screw up once in a while. The vast majority of people, good and bad, don't even think about triggers for others. So the fact that you care enough to learn and adapt is still really cool and deserving of praise!

Honestly, if it's something she's easily triggered by I'd say play it safe and go to a different movie with her seeing as [from what's been said] it seems like a pretty high risk for triggering her.
