18. ... I really, really don't like people like you. You're allowed to be freaked out that 12-year-olds are writing smut, ZOMG!11, but stay the fuck out of their personal lives.

[identity profile] kasumi-sora.livejournal.com 2007-10-06 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe they're 12 too? But then they are reading the smut...

[identity profile] fyretoppaaa.livejournal.com 2007-10-06 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Moar like slightly close-minded with a lot of dash of thought police. XD; Baaah, I mean, I really am fine if people are closeminded or w/e but reading a fanfic and being freaked out and telling that person's parents? Two entirely separate things. ):

An anonymous on the other page says it was because of the chan. And I guess I can understand that, but still I wouldn't rat. They are married people who can't write smut, so it does mean anything.

not the OP

Geez, it's a twelve-year-old, what's wrong with intervening? I don't see why everyone's disagreeing with this secret.

Geez, it's a twelve-year-old, it's not a person with their own feelings and set of circumstances!

Intervening in what? A kid writing out sexual fantasies on the Internet? I know I was reading hardcore het smut when I was 13 when my parents left some of the more sketchy variety of novels lying around. One year, give or take. And the old violence vs. sex double standard, which I'm not going to bother typing out.

Intervening in what, a healthy sexual development? SHE'S GOING THROUGH PUBERTY AND IS HAVING SEXUAL FANTASIES ABOUT FICTIONAL CHARACTERS. OH GOD, SOMEONE HELP HER! :/ What exactly is it that you think is wrong with that?

[identity profile] sparklemagpie.livejournal.com 2007-10-06 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
IAWTC. Really. God forbid a 12 year old write about sexual topics and explore those topics through fiction, jeez.
