An anonymous on the other page says it was because of the chan. And I guess I can understand that, but still I wouldn't rat. They are married people who can't write smut, so it does mean anything.

It's wrong because it's someone else's life, and the OP knows nothing about this 12-year-old other than the fact that she's 12 years old.

Writing sex != having sex. Writing sex != sexually promiscuous. Writing sex != anything but writing sex and what the hell is so wrong with that?

If a 12 year old were writing violent fics, would anyone care? I doubt it, I've seen a ton of action/fight/deathfics everywhere. Would somebody care if someone went to their parents and told them YOUR CHILD IS WRITING ABOUT MURDER? Well, YES, because it makes it sound a hell of a lot worse than it is. It's fictional characters interacting with fictional characters, not "I have sex with this person" or "I murder this person" or even "I want to/think about doing/want to think about doing any of these things."

All of us here understand that, so ... no one particularly cares, and thinks the OP is overreacting. Is that so hard to understand?

Geez, it's a twelve-year-old, it's not a person with their own feelings and set of circumstances!

Intervening in what? A kid writing out sexual fantasies on the Internet? I know I was reading hardcore het smut when I was 13 when my parents left some of the more sketchy variety of novels lying around. One year, give or take. And the old violence vs. sex double standard, which I'm not going to bother typing out.
