I'm just saying: if they know enough about sex to write good smut, something is not right in their still-ongoing childhood.

um. My childhood was fine thankyou very much. No sex, no abuse. And I could still write it realistically. Yeah, I started sex ed *officially* when I was 10, thanks to school. But I'd started on sex ed unofficially, age 8. And figured out for myself that it was a 'tab and slot' situation, when I was 7 years old. I sure wasn't writing or expecting 10 inch penises and simultaneous orgasms. By 12 years old I'd moved on to gay rights and so on. And... personally, I don't think that me being informed about stuff about sex is a sign that my parents were lax.
And, it doesn't mean that this 12 year old was abused, by a long shot. I wasn't. Still a virgin myself, so it doesn't mean they're sleeping around either. You CAN write about stuff you've never experienced. And if they're reading stuff about sex, or are educated, that's not a huge deal, and isn't going to stuff up their childhood. I knew about sex, and its not like I started sleeping around, or stopped playing innocent games.

For a while I couldn't even play "You're the Inspiration" because I got so worked up in the middle of the level I'd screw it up and lose, then feel even worse.

The EBAs can raise a man from the grave. I believe in the power.
