Isn't it just for reading preference? I mean, people tag het fic as het, but I don't go around in real life thinking, "Oh, they're a heterosexual couple!" either. I mean, I think I get what you're saying, in that why do we need the category since a fic marked Bruce/Charlie is obviously going to be about two dudes getting it on while Bruce/Heather will be about a guy and a girl, so what's the extra label for. Actually, nevermind, I think I agree with you.
