Then they are just like destiel fans who have no delusions it is going to be canon. I am a Destiel fan but I don't think it is ever becoming canon. Ever.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hit cinemas. I watched it. I started shipping Hot Dwarves, and Hobbits. (And Boromir. I blame fic for that.)

My main reason for wanting it canon (though I don't think it will be) is to piss off all the people who get so annoyed at the shippers. I hear more from them than the shippers themselves, and I ship it so am naturally surrounded by shippers.

As for the ship itself - ehh, whether it's canon or not really doesn't matter much. It's not like canon ships tend to be automatically more awesome just by virtue of being canon.
