How in the world is it "unfair"? Writers ultimately dictate where the show is going to go. They don't have fans putting guns to their heads and saying, YOU MUST MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!!! Some ships are canon, some aren't. If your ship happens to be canon, bully for you. Everyone else can still ship what they want. Dean/Lisa was canon. That didn't stop people from shipping Dean/Cas (horrid Lisa bashing aside, I'd like to forget about that). Dean/Cas being canon (which, for the record, I don't think will happen in a million years) wouldn't be the reason Dean/Sam doesn't become canon - that would because they're BROTHERS.
