(Anonymous) 2013-08-18 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)Killallhostiles is great - group of enemies: kill them. New wave: kill them. All with one cheat. Sometimes, it doesn't kill all of them and you have to enter it again, but that's okay.
Immortality is great when you don't want to use tons of injury kits (or whatever they were called) on the characters who died and stood up *injured* after the battle was over.
ED-E was surprisingly effective as well in New Vegas. But yeah, Deathclaws. Ugh. I also kept stumbling into areas with really mean mutants. It got better after I learnt how to use the stealth options properly, but still.
I thought it was interesting as well, especially the way you could play both sides for a long time. It just took so long. And maybe the Dalish origin I played influenced me as well XD It actually was kind of funny - I think my Warden accidentally made a woman from Dust Town kill her child, but I'm still not sure if that's really what happened...

Or wait for your healer to regain mana. That takes for-fucking-ever. Ugh.
ED-E is awesome as well! And I have a soft spot for Arcade Gannon as well, just because he's adorable. The mutants sometimes scare me and I can't use stealth worth shit so that isn't even an option. Just lots and lots of killing and/or stimpaks. Blerg.
Ooo, I remember that lady! You could talk her parents into taking her and her newborn baby back. I always took that option because I couldn't stomach anything else...I'm not a good renegade.

(Anonymous) 2013-08-18 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)Arcade is adorable. I love his comments when you do something he isn't really good at (like sneaking). I must admit, I kept being scared in Fallout most of the time X'D I love the atmosphere in the games because I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic scenarios, but at the same time, the emptiness and the mutants are really creepy...
I think the reason I was being an ass with that Dwarven lady was because I didn't properly read through the options and basically only chose "You wouldn't want that kinf of life for your kid, right" and she went "You're right (I'm gonna toss him into the Deep Roads now by)" and I just stood there thinking "Wait, did I just make her go kill her kid? That wasn't my intention!"
Considering my Warden, that kind of fatal communication error actually fit, but still XD

Arcade is the best and makes me sad that you can't romance in Fallout games. I also would've liked the option to romance Boone. I think I've been playing BioWare games for too long, LOL. And some of the ambient music in New Vegas is downright terrifying, so I can't even blame you. Plus, idk, I always feel a little helpless against the bigger enemies in Fallout games. I don't usually get to carry too many large weapons so I'm always afraid my companion is going to be caring my best weapons when I run into something serious.
Ngl, I'm cracking up a bit at that. It's terrible and I hope that dwarf changed her mind, but what an outrageous mistake.
