Re: Guilty pleasure games?

Haha no. I just thought of the games that people dislike/make fun of the most that I've played that I could think of off the top of my head. You know me, I have no shame when it comes to MG.

And yessss it literally saved X-2 for me. When I played the Lightning Returns demo, it reminded me of the X-2 battle system a bit. The LR battle system is also awesome as hell.

It makes me sad to hear that people make fun of Metal Gear. For some reason I haven't experienced this... But I'm somewhat selective of where I hang out online and a lot of the gamer friends I've had were Metal Gear fans too. Boo.

I still have to finish XIII so I haven't tried that demo, but suddenly I have an interest in the game...

Oh, not the whole series. I know 4 gets the 'lolol Geriatric Snake' jokes and for its general wackiness, and Rising for being... Well... I dunno. Not a Solid game, I guess? Maybe they are just 'love or hate' games. Overall, I get the feeling the series is universally loved.

Oh the Lightning Returns demo was at E3 :) I hope they make it downloadable at some point before the game's out, I'd love to hear what more people think and if it'll sell anyone on it like it sold me.

Ah alright. That makes a little more sense to me, and I say this as someone who liked it. Loved it at times, even. But damn, the speeches were a but much at times, even for Metal Gear. (And I adore the half hour cutscenes.)

Ooo, alright. I've heard of the game but haven't bothered to watch any demos or anything. I'm so far behind I imagine I'd just be confused. Do you know if FFXV is set in a different universe as XIII? I know it was originally Versus but I'm not sure what's going on with it now.

Ummm XV, the Lightning games and Agito-turned-Type-0 were all supposed to be linked by the same mythology (Fabula Nova Crystalis). So I think it was always meant to be a vague connection rather than a direct link via world and characters and all that.

XV looks great by the way. I seriously want it based on the gameplay video ahhhhhh XD

Hmm, if that's the case maybe I'll be find playing it without the other games... (Catching up is unlikely at this point.)

The gameplay is what attracted me to it. The rest I have no idea about, but the trailer looked fun to play and honestly, that's enough for me.
