Wasn't Eccleston's problem with Uncle Rusty & Crew? Moffat was just one of the cogs in the machine at that point, I can't see how he would have even come to Eccleston's attention.

Besides, Moffat is on record saying he doesn't want to look backward...give what we've seen of his writing (or lack thereof), apparently he extends that sentiment to his methamphetamine-laced-hamster-on-an-exercise-wheel-to-nowhere episodes as well.

I don't think Eccleston's problem was with RTD. He'd worked with RTD prior to DW. I think Eccleston's problem was with how things were actually being run on the set.
