From the Wikipedia page, describing the "Amazon" character:

"A voluptuous, muscled, scantily clad female warrior who fights with large two-handed weapons and performs powerful kicks. She boasts high attack power and agility, but has low defense."

NO SHIT SHE HAS LOW DEFENSE SHE'S WEARING A CHAINMAIL BIKINI

And then I looked at the "reception" part and all these reviews are giving it 8/10, 9/10... good job, everyone. I hope you're proud of yourselves.

The thing that gets me is that it actually sounds like a very fun game in terms of its mechanics. I like a good hack 'n' slash every now and then, so it would probably interest me if it weren't for the god awful character designs.

It's a ridiculous shame.

One reviewer actually did give it a comparatively low review, citing the art style as a main problem. (A friend playing the game feels too uncomfortable using the sorceress and amazon, so it is impacting people's enjoyment of the game.)

Fans freaked the fuck out and there was a backlash against the site for daring to do so. It dominated discussion.

The community as a whole really hates it when people have different opinions. It holds the community back.
