Why not suggest it for Yuletide? I tend to do that with things that I'd like a fandom for. At the very least you might spark an interest in the series in someone else, and thus make a friend out of it.

Holy shit OP. I saw a trailer for this game during it's release, but never remembered the name. It's imagery somehow stuck with me, and for 13 years it's always hovered in the back of my mind as "that one game I really want to track down."

The title connected my memories. Brb, time to search the internet for used copies.

Combat was a bit clunky, but other than that I love Rule of Rose. I'm kind of sad about the lack of a fandom, too.

I wanted to play this game so badly, but it didn't come out in my gaming region, and the PS2 couldn't play import games :/
