When i was a kid, i wanted to *be* a gypsy. Or an Indian. I loved the romanticized version of gysies as these people who sang and danced around a bonfire at night, all mandolins and tambourines, and the women all got to wear layers of wonderful skirts with ribbons in their hair and they were all so pretty and dark and magical and they had *horses* and traveled around and were probably part elf or something....

But then, i grew up in the seventies - everything was a little trippy then. *snerk*

lol I wanted to be one because one of my favorite songs growing up was Cher's Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves...of course that song didn't exactly make it seem glamorous so idk why I wanted it

Heeeee!

Oh, man, CHER. I wanted to look like Cher so much. The fact that she was half Indian made her a million times cooler, besides which she was/is so gorgeous.... All that *hair*....

The Sonny and Cher Show - staple of my childhood evening tv viewing, a definite family event.

I remember being really excited when I saw the episode where they guest starred on Scooby Doo, haha. I'm pretty sure I cried buckets when Sonny died

Man, how *didn't*? They were so awesome together, and he seemed like a sweet man. Watching Cher give the eulogy at his funeral is heartbreaking.
