I got the contraceptive implant thing! We're hoping it will regulate my periods so I'm not curled up in pain once a month

Congrats anon! I've never done the arm implant thing but I've had a Mirena, and that completely stopped my periods for 4 years.

I'm actually looking forward to next months period because I want to know how it goes. Impatiently waiting, I don't care if I bleed more or anything I just want the pain to stop D:

fwiw with the Mirena I had a good deal of spotting for the first 6 weeks or so, and it was only after that that the periods stopped for years. I hope your exciting arm gizmo kicks in sooner than that.

(OH GOD IT ITCHES SO MUCH)

i thought about an IUD but it creeped me out more than plastic in my arm :( if this doesn't work I'm going to ask about the...something about burning the interior uterus lining but I don't mind, figure i'll adopt if I want kids
