Maybe because Gipsy is (kind of) a main character, very important to saving the world and pretty damn badass. So it smacks of trying to get rid of yet another 'female' representation and it's just irritating. I didn't see it as objectifying because she's the strong, badass sleek weapon that everyone treated with respect and talked about in a, kinda you know how people personlise things? As if they were real inside and not a machine?

no it isn't. It is a tool. You wouldn't say that the guns in war movies save the world. The people using the tool are saving the world.

A big ass humanoid tool referred to as a lady that has people for a brain and the fandom darling. She had a name, a history and is sacrificed to save the world
As opposed to unnamed random gun in a movie, she's got that anthropomorphised history going on. The main characters see her as a lady and treat her as such. People are fond of their robots that look like lpeople
