[Picture is the logo of the TV show "The Fosters". It has a line going up and then down over the word "The", like the outline of a tile roof on a house, and a line under "Fosters", making the logo evocative of a house.]

For the first time in television history, there's a family that looks like my family. My moms are interracial. My older sister is one of my moms' bio kid. The rest of my siblings are adopted, and our moms always tell us it's because they have enough love to go around. The episode where that very thing was said made me cry.

Maybe a lot of people don't get why this show is important. But for me? This show, on ABC Family means my family is recognized. Is okay.

Secret because: Dude, it's a TV show. And this channel ran Secret Life of an American Teenager. And the 700 Club, even if they constantly apologize for it.
