Question: What is the 700 Club, why is it awful, and why can't they get out of the contract?

The 700 Club is an evangelical Christian talk show, it's awful because it's hosted and run by Pat Robertson who is awful, and they're contractually obligated to run it because Pat Robertson et al used to own the channel that is now ABC Family, and when ABC bought it, Pat Robertson et al required as one of the conditions of the sale that they air a certain amount of The 700 Club (this is also why it's still named ABC Family - that was another condition of the sale, that they not rename it).
