This is a really sweet secret. ♥ I didn't know much about this show but now I think I'd better watch it!

S!M You should. It totes has some issues, but I love how very normal the family is presented as. The moms are just...parents, you know? It's nice. That's the word I think of. It's just...nice. To see a couple that looks like my parents presented as a normal couple.

And it makes me feel good, because it never treats the adopted siblings as less while addressing real things you feel when you're adopted. The moms love all their kids, and the kids love their moms, but sometimes the adopted kids feel like they might be regretted. And when that exact conversation came up, one of the moms said pretty much exactly what my moms told me when I started to wonder if maybe I wasn't what they wanted.

Of course, Lena put it much more eloquently than my Mama's "Just because I didn't give birth to you doesn't mean you are not my kid and I am not your mama, got me?"

This show just gives our whole family a lot of feels.
