I don't get it. Why would you feel guilty for buying a sex toy?

Porn (Live action I assume?) I understand, you'd be participating in rape, financially supporting rape, and helping to perpetuate a system of rape.

But I can't for the life of me think why you'd consider a sextoy something to be guilty about. Who are you harming?

I've actually been in porn before and I can't say I was ever raped...

First of all, how can you be sure? Porn abuses women in hundereds of different subtle ways. I mean, even standard "Dark alleyway" sexual assaults can leave a victim feeling like they were at fault, that is was their responsiblity. never mind the subtle manipulations used by the men who run the porn industry. It's a lot less black and white. And that's not ever going into the fact that the porn industry attracts girls with emotional problems who feel the only value they have is as a sexual object, then there's the drugs to make a woman more 'agreeable'.
What I'm getting at is that the world has a way of twisting women up in it's expectations to the point that they view something as degrading as sex for money is ok. It is possible you did it totally willingly without any outside force, but the likelihood that you would have the freedom to make that choice, and be so free of influence as to recognise that choice is truly your own is so very small.

Secondly, can I ask you why you did porn? Because I suspect it was for the money, yes? Have sex with this man camera or starve? You might not be able to see it, but that is rape by coercion.

I know you're just trolling, but seriously; I once attended a panel at a feminist event that was discussing anti-porn legislation, and someone jackass saying the same shit as you (and genuinely believing it, by all accounts) drove one of the panellists to tears. Said panellist had been raped, but not in the course of making porn, which for her was a personal expression endeavour (she'd never been paid for porn nor circulated any of the films she'd made). The jackass then went home and wrote a blog entry about how it was a mean panel that had made women cry!

Porn is rape 99.99% of the time. it's a probable fact that the men who make porn use drugged and emotionally damaged girls (And you're little anecdote about a girl who had been raped doing porn sort of backs up that point) because they are easy to manipulate. It's a provable fact that women resort to porn and prostitution out of financial desperation. Not a damn thing I've said up there is untrue. The porn industry is a terrible system of abuse and it's so closely tied to the rest of our society's ways of thinking that most of the people being abused won't even realize it.

Hang on, is it a religious thing? Were you raised with the typical catholic bullshit of "Your body is sinful and you should feel ashamed of being a women!"? I'm sure Catholicism isn't unique in this, btw, I just know for sure from personal experience how backwards its.
