Are you kidding? If he placed high enough at nationals they'd totally send him. It would draw huge amount of attention to Team USA to send him a) because he's a lot better known than any of the other options save Evan and b) because he is so flamboyant about his sexuality and has made such bold statements. Considering that the Olympics are a lot about $$, and considering that NBC has already promised to discuss the anti-lgbtq laws in Russia during their broadcasts, they WANT that kind of attention. He is exactly the kind of athlete they'd be all over having there. Far from being a PR disaster, it would be a golden opportunity for the USOC and NBC.
