I've really wanted to tell one of the creators of my favorite show how much it means to me and how it's helped me through some hard times, but I'm too worried that it will look dumb and that anyone else who sees it would think badly about it.

I'm just really nervous around fandom places now. [sad face emoticon]

I dislike them both for the same reason - they shame their exes, whether it's through the media or through song. However I get more flack for not liking Taylor Swift, because apparently it makes me a slut-shaming misogynist. Really? I think they're both douchebags and hate them equally!

I understand why someone would dislike Hetalia's English dub. There are some really creepy Jew 'jokes' and pandering to the Western fans.

However, I love both the original and the English dub equally. I love the accents, I love dudebro!America and foppish Austria. I think the voice actors did a great job. I like that I'm able to switch to a more light-hearted version of Hetalia that doesn't take itself too seriously and has no qualms to do even more shipteasing than the original. Apparently I should feel bad for this.

Bonus secret: I hope they'll royally fuck with 'Buon San Valentino'. Just to piss off the purists. *is horrible*

Which means I'm a wee bit judgemental of most fans of this pair.

I shouldn't have read their LiveJournals. Now I can't give up on this comic because I know the story will be amazing, but they take so long to update, it makes me really frustrated...

Secret because: Complaining that an author takes too long to write/draw is stupid and entitled. Quality takes time.

I find as I get older I have less time for fandom. No real problem, it happens. Cool, yay, a promotion and over time but I like my job it's fun(-ish).

What is frustrating is running a fandom orientated blog. It seems my followers care more than I do about how active I am. It's frustrating. I have a life! I'm not online all the time! Good for them that they're online posting all the time for whatever reasons, you have your fun, but you can't get snarky at me about not being online because I'm working or out with friends or even doing chores!

Bonus secret: The money from my job pays for a lot of the things they get to enjoy on my blog. No job = no blog!

I HATE HER. Okay, maybe not HER, but her ACTING. She is terrible on this. She was terrible on Lost. She was terrible on Roswell. She made other people look good by comparison on BEASTMASTER. But everyone loves her. It's not even a stan thing. It seems like literally EVERYONE finds her acting perfect, except me.

Bonus secret: She is the love-child of Hilary Duff and Zooey Deschanel and I can never unsee it.

Not secret: It's been over a year now since I had a falling out with my best friend at the time. We got along great, but she suddenly seldom spoke to me, and when I asked her why she said some hurtful things, and I'm sure I said hurtful things back. I apologized and tried to gently rekindle the friendship several times, but she wanted to go separate ways, so it ended.

Secret: I still miss her a lot and feel guilt over losing her, and I feel like if I had been into her fandoms this wouldn't have happened. We both belong to different fandoms and she was very passionate about hers. I was willing to dabble in what she liked a little bit, but I didn't really like any of the things she was into.

The break up wasn't about fandom, self, that's dumb. Then again, her reasons for that break up were petty, so maybe fandom was a part in what happened. I know I made some mistakes, and I feel guilty about it, but I almost feel worse that I couldn't be a fandom friend for her. We were close friends before this. I wish she'd forgive me and give us a second chance. Self, it's been a year. You need to move on, it's a part of life. Things probably wouldn't work out anyway because you aren't like her.

Bonus secret: I'm terrible at making friends and meeting people because I'm quirky, introverted, and shy. I've tried before but it never works out. I'm awfully disadvantaged when it comes to making new friends, whoops.
