I was shaving my legs the other day when I started to wonder if other people have to shave their thighs. I've never shaved my thighs. When I first started to shave, a lot of the girls I talked to about it didn't shave their thighs either, but I wasn't sure if that was just a pre-teen thing. I shave from ankle to slightly above my knee and that's it. I have very fair hair and I never really noticed hairs on my thighs.

So I'm curious F!S, do you shave your thighs?

Sometimes? Not very often, but I have very dark hair so sometimes I'll shave the lower half on the outside of my thighs [the inside doesn't really have much hair -shrugs-].

I have a few times but generally I don't. Mine is also very fair and shaving it doesn't look any different. It just feels nice when I first do it, but I've always gotten a few ingrown hairs there when I've done it so I'm pretty selective about when and why I do it.

wouldn't you have to when you go swimming or is that no big deal?

Yup. I have dark hair, and unfortunately, it's very prevalent during bathing suit season/under direct sunlight. Knee to mid-thigh is usually fine enough not to be a problem with shorts, but with bikini bottoms I have to give it all a once-over to avoid looking like I'm swimming via cilia.

Funny, I've just made the decision to start shaving my thighs every other time I shower. Or maybe just once a week? The hair there is so thick that one last-minute shave with my disposable razors won't cut it, so I figure I need to start staying on top of it to keep it manageable. But I think I'm a lot more hairy than most women.

Sometimes during summer if I'm wearing a swimming suit or a really short skirt. I've got pretty dark hair and it's getting even darker as I get older.

No...

Only if I'm going to be in a swimsuit. I hate it, but the hair on my inner thighs is really dark -- looks like my pubic hair is trying to annex my legs.

Nope, I don't notice it at all. My legs on the other hand...

I should. It never occurred to me that people didn't shave their tights, I have a lot of hair there.

During the winter I don't because I'm lazy and nobody sees them.
During the summer I try to do it, because in shorts the hair is noticeable (mostly I shave just what is visible and not the part covered by the shorts, although I should shave everything :/ )

Yeah.... it just feels more complete somehow :P

Does my answer count if I don't shave at all?

Once in a blue moon because it's light and thin on my thigh compared to my legs. I shave past my knee for funsies.

I only rarely shave the rest of my legs (I don't habitually wear shorts or skirts above the ankle, and most of the time I wear leggings underneath skirts, and leg hair doesn't bother my boyfriend) and when I do, I'll occasionally do the thighs, depending on how much time I want to invest in the activity. The hair up there isn't as thick or dark as on my shins/calves.

The hair on my thighs is pretty much the same as the hair on my arms so it would look pretty weird if I just shaved up the knee and then shit suddenly got hairy. If this isn't about aesthetics then I have no idea (I don't shave)

Sort of? When I bother to shave my legs I do the first four inches or so above my knees on the front and outside of my legs, and that's about it. The rest of my thighs aren't hairy enough for me to bother. (I do have to shave my toes, though. They are hairy. :( )

Sometimes out of habit, but I pretty much only grow hair on the front part of my legs from knee to ankle, and very finely on the back of my calves.

I don't even need to do it when I wear a bathing suit, which is kind of nice. XD It'd also save me money if I ever started waxing, since half leg is usually cheaper than whole by quite a bit from what I've seen.

Sometimes. I have dark hair and pale skin, so while the hair on my thighs is finer than that below the knee, when it gets long enough it is more noticeable than just peach fuzz. I have experimented, occasionally going more than a month without shaving, it does take much longer for that to get noticeable.

I don't have to per se (shaving being a choice and all), but to get the feel I want, I have to shave a lot. Thighs included. I'm a hairy person though, so.

There isn't much of any hair there in my case, except pubic hair way up so I'll at least shave that.

I don't shave my thighs because my Grandmom said that her mom said that men don't like to feel the prickly thigh hair growing back when you have sex. That was enough to freak me out of shaving my thighs. Plus that's too much leg, and I don't really grow hair there.

If I shave, no; or any hair-removal routine, actually. Too sensitive.

Nope. For some reason the hair on my lower legs is thick and brown like my head-hair, but the hair on my thighs is fine and blond and all but invisible, so I don't bother.

I don't.

Most of the hair there is baby fine and blond, so it doesn't look like I have any hair there anyway. The only place it's really visible (the back of my thighs, right up near the top), the hair is super curly, so the one time I tried shaving it, I had ingrown hairs like whoa. So nope. Not worth it. I just shave from my ankle to my knee.
