Where is this going on, because I think you need to get out more.

DA but tumblr, mostly. It's the number one overreacting and shout-before-thinking place. Maybe you've been around other fandom playces. It also depends on the fandom, of course. But one good example is the Dragon Age 2 fandom. There are plenty reasons to dislike Isabela, but since a lot of people connect dislike of that character with slut shaming, it's mostly assumed that if you don't like her, your one of the slut shaming misogynists.

I've also seen enough of that attitude in comments here.

But you knwo, I always think "you need to get out more" is always a little ironic when someone on fandomsecrets says it.

DA

You're in DA fandom? Yeah, that kind of thing is one of the reasons I stopped browsing Tumblr. I actually really like Isabela, and she made me think twice about the idea of fanservice and sex positivity, but you can like her for other reasons than her gender or your opinions about what she does with her body.

I'm in the Mass Effect fandom and if you even criticise Kaidan in the slightest (for example his misogynistic behaviour (expecting a woman to pay for his meal because she turned down his romantic advances (he doesn't do the same for MShep) during the Citadel date) you run the risk of being sworn at and called a cunt
