Lusting after Janeway was a shared experience for a massive number of fannish lesbians my age. I never got it, but I read a lot of fic all the same. Then Red happened. Oh dear mother of divine god.

I've secretly started reading some really really oldschool Voy f/f, but imagining Red!Mulgrew as Janeway and it's totally working for me. Half remembered fics are getting weird reboots in my head. It's the weirdest experience I've ever had in 20 years in fandom, and there's nobody I can share it with!

I don't love Scott/Alison but I don't hate it either. It just is. The problem is that the show has focused on them so heavily as a couple that I can't imagine them with anyone else even though I don't ship them.

So here I am, sitting in my corner while everyone enjoys Scott/Lydia, Scott/Isaac, Allison/Isaac, or even Scott/Allison/Isaac and I just can't see them. I hate it. [sad face emoticon]

Say what you want about Tyler Perry. Hell, I'll probably agree with you. He's a terrible director, and he's got some seriously weird hang-ups with women.

But I will watch the scene where this woman is playing Grit Ball from Madea's Family Reunion 'til the cows come home. It's so amazingly cathartic watching her beat him with that skillet. I wish I had the spine to do it to the man who beat me for two years. Therapy has helped, don't get me wrong. But sometimes, I wish I had.
