I think they were referring to the infamously terrible episode where kurt (who was basically murphy's mouthpiece for a while. maybe he still is, I'm not sure) lectured blaine about how bisexuality didn't exist and that only gay guys in denial would call themselves bi. they also had brittany call herself "a little bicurious" for the longest time, so I'm not sure when they allowed her to just be bisexual. I'm also still a little confused as to how they went from having Santana say that she got turned on by everyone (including human shaped shrubbery) to having her declare herself a lesbian in like the next episode. not saying it's impossible or anything, but it seemed kind of sudden and weird. I thought she made for a good bisexual character
