So I know we had a fic rec thread last night but I got in late and figured everyone had moved on by then. ;;; Anyway, I'm looking for longer fic (+20k) that just kind of make you feel good. Like The Pursuit of the Whole (Thorin/Bilbo, with a character driven conflict) and We've Written Volumes (In Blood and Scars and Ink) (Derek/Stiles, with a very external conflict!). Spoilers, these both have a resolved, happy ending. And that's essentially what I'm after. A story in which the characters overcome adversary, whether that's their own feelings or an actual enemy.

Uhm. And if you don't have anything like that, look, fic recs! |D

I have A LOT of Avengers (primarily Loki/Thor and Loki/Tony with a bit of Loki/Other). But a lot of those feel like "conflict" to me, so I am unsure if I understand what conflict driven stories are. The above Teen Wolf/Hobbit I think are conflict driven. Do you want the Avengers ones now (and does that include XMFC [specifically Charles/Erik]).

I think that as long as the conflict is resolved in a positive way, I'm good! And yes, definitely yes to the Avengers! I'm more of a Thor stan than a Loki stan but I'm interested in seeing what you rec for Loki/Tony; it's a ship I've never really been into but I'm open to having my mind changed!

I've actually never watched XMFC but like every nerd, I know the story of Charles and Erik and I know that in that movie they were portrayed by very attractive dudes so yeah, I'm definitely game for fic. :3
