It's a movie about giant robots fighting giant monsters from another dimension and people are saying the unrealistic part is where someone died.

Personally, I liked that they flipped the typical narrative there and had the hunky son be the one to die rather than the father heroically sacrifice himself and the son learns some humility because if it.

(Also, I actually had to google this character's name to remind myself who this was, and I found out that the actors playing father and son are only 14 years apart in age!)

I now feel bad for the writer because they're basically being spammed with "BUT WHY DID THIS BLOND GUY OUT OF OUR THREE BLOND GUYS DIE"

He's taking it well though, and basically going "No we're not going to do a Coulson" so thank fuck for that.

Less laughing more disbelief at fan entitlement now.

Robots. Minor secondary character doesn't fucking matter
