I saw Matilda in London and I can't recommend it enough. It's clever and funny, but also really touching. Tim Minchin really gets Dahl, but he also has his own take on child-logic that is very moving. Wicked and Newsies are great too, but in my very personal opinion the Newsies movie is a pretty great version, and the best part of Wicked is captured in the OCR anyway. So my vote in the not-actually-a-democracy of what you should do with your life would be go see Matilda.
