22. Often with CLAMP their art gets better as the series gets further along. That still happens today with their current series. Tsubasa: RC is their current main series but if you look at the art now and the art at the beginning of the series there's a huge difference. Wish and other short series by CLAMP don't have an opportunity for the art to evolve before they're finished.

Fuuma from X is my favourite CLAMP character but I wasn't impressed the first time I saw him (nor was I impressed with the X art in general). But I kept reading because the story was interesting. I eventually got to the art change and *drool*. I now think that the best art I've seen from CLAMP is the later half of X.

My advice is if you're really interested in joining in with the fangirling is to read over the plots of all their stories and pick the one that seems the most interesting to you story-wise. Boring art can be ignored if the story is good enough (this goes for any manga).
