Yeah, I think it is no different from an audiobook. So reading transcripts would be like reading a slightly weird novel.

(The only reason I didn't give it a chance is because everyone around thinks it's awesomesauce and tells me as much. There are some things that I dislike before I even see/read/hear them, simply due to the fact that people around me like them so fine; I think there was a name for this effect, but I cannot be bothered to google. IDK, it's stupid and shallow, and sometimes I actually end up loving the works, but that's the way it is.)

I know exactly how you feel. I've gotten into a couple of things after hearing about how good they are, but most of the time, the more I hear about how PERFECT AMAZING WONDERFUL something is and I must watch/listen/whatever it, the more likely I am to avoid it.
