Started a Mass Effect multiplayer match (you play four per team) ran out of the building straight into a Geth and started firing at it, only to realise it was one of the other players (whilst Geth are one of the enemy factions in Mass Effect there's also Geth on your side)


Forgetting to put the iguana to bed last night and finding her still sitting on top of the curtain the next morning

Not recent, but a few summers ago I was at a cottage with my rents and my brother and his daughter, and my brother and I took the boat (okay, it was half a metal tin can that could have loosely been called a boat) out to go fishing (our version of fishing is putting our lines in the water and napping at opposite ends of the boat) when it started to rain.

In all my brilliance, I leapt up and slammed the tacklebox that sat on the middle boat seat shut with a loud, "Quick, before the lures get wet!"

When it sunk in what I'd just said, I think we laughed so hard we scared all the fish away...
