I'm back from my vacations and I feel the most memorable event was using my STP device to piss in new, outdoor locations.

I WISH I got a vacation, even a boring one.

Literally went to make this same comment... and to add that it's annoying when people don't appreciate what they have. =/ It's been almost five years since I went on any kind of vacation at all, and closer to ten since I went on one that lasted longer than three days.

I've seen mirages for the first time in my life. Like, just TONS of water with all the proper reflections, and you're driving right into them, and then WOAH there's literally just the fucking empty road

Also, I read the first part of Ben Aaronovitch's trilogy, and now I may have a new literary crush.

Made a real lot of cherry plum jam.

I visited one of the oldest constructions ever built by humanity so it was pretty cool.

which? I saw a bunch of old Greek sites years ago, that was really neat.

Summer is my busiest time of year. I go on vacation in winter when no one else can go because they have kids in school. It's awesome.

and never came back.

That is to say my family and I moved this summer. Was a lot of excitement (and stress) without going on a trip.

I never want to live in a one room apartment with four other people again. I love my family but...dude no...
