I'm not embarrassed of any of them, but I seem to ship a lot of pairings that get deemed "problematic" by fandom. I guess I'm just attracted to fucked up relationships?

I'm reasonably certain that I'd get flack if I ever admitted to shipping the hell out of Cecil/Steve.

Er...see. That's the thing - I don't ship them as a hate anything ship. I view them, at the time of the series, as exes whose relationship ended in a way that left Cecil bitter [or after Cecil was brainwashed into not liking Steve. Either or.]

Steve being the guy Cecil bitches about a lot.

About half of my ships have never even been considered by anyone else (zero relevant results on Google). I'm embarrassed about them because I feel like if nobody else ships it, there must be a reason...right?

Zuko/Katara. To be honest, though, it's less because of the pairing and more because of the reputation the fans have.

Dean/Castiel.

The only ship I've gotten flack for shipping is Wrex/Ashley in Mass Effect and that's just from one douchebag who doesn't like Ashley being paired with aliens

Oh and then there's the moron who left a "Nawh, Ashley/FemShep" plus drooling smiley on an erotic Wrex/Ashley fanart

Jade/Valmont from Jackie Chan Adventures. She's a prepubescent girl, he's an adult man and also evil. I didn't want to ship it, but... then I shipped it. ;_;

The ship I get shit for is Shosanna/Fredrick from Inglourious Basterds.

it's just so CLICHE, and also my first ship from my embarassing preteen years so I have some cringeworthy memories associated with it.

Sterek but only because I don't want to be associated with the majority of its fandom. Ugh.

My current OTP is Peter/Stiles which is dirtybadwrong in all the right ways. I'm not embarrassed by it, but I don't talk about it a lot because I acknowledge that it's dirtybadwrong. So much of the fanfic sucks though. I swear these writers don't have an accurate grasp on either character.
