Yeah. I think he's definitely the most idealistic out of the main three, but just because he's not a hate-machine or a sociopath doesn't really make him "pure" or "innocent."

To be fair, I don't see how Armin is all that nice, innocent, or pure. He's on the path to becoming a ruthless motherfucker when you get right down to it.

He can certainly be very, very pragmatic. I'm quite looking forward to see more of how his character develops

I usually like most of those "nice/pure/innocent" characters, but I absolutely can not stand Armin.

You're talking about the character that is bathed in blood in the opening sequence.

Armin isn't any more innocent or pure than any of the other characters, his skills just happen to lie with his brain rather than his blades.
