It's making fun of yourself? Do you never make fun of yourself?

During certain bright summer days I glow I'm so damn white. I have walked outside and set my entire group of friends laughing their asses off. It also helps in this secret in context of what some people were talking about up thread, different kinds of "white" look better/worse in certain colors.

But yes, it's mostly making fun of yourself and your inability to have any kind of good relationship with the sun.

Now, see, that's what I mean. I've never described myself or heard someone else describe themselves as "so damn black I'm invisible at night", and I am indeed that dark sometimes. It doesn't really occur to me to do it. Someone else might say something like that as a jibe, but it's not something I see self-directed as when pale people find ways to emphasize their own paleness. (Though I've seen the "so white I glow" description often.) Not saying it's a bad thing, it's just...interesting.

...if you've never heard someone use that description, then you're missing out. It's funny as hell (which is why people do it.)

Haha, probably, I'm used to missing out on the joke.

To just do it for no reason, I think, is weird, but in this context, I think the point was to make it clear that the color of the dress will probably clash with her skin tone in a fairly unattractive way, which doesn't seem to lessen her desire to wear a dress like Tiana's.

Actually, I think that green would look pretty nice with very pale skin, especially if the yellow parts were changed for white and OP was blond or red-headed, but, I'm fashion-challenged, so I'm probably wrong there.

Depends on what under coloring you have. Pale skin isn't universally one color. You can have under shades of pink, blue, green, gray and goldish-orange. It's really subtle unless you wear the wrong color clothing and then it really shows.

Like I am pink. I can't wear red because I look flushed all the time. My mom is green (that olive tone, you hear so much about) and she can't wear green because she looks ill. And my nephew is goldish-orange. So orange is out of the question or else he look like bees wax.

I glow too, for all of to minutes then I turn bright red and crispy. The curse of being a red-head for me.

Oh what so Twilight vampires are real?!
