My BFF's dad started sending us links to info on Reckless last year, when he found out about her. She'd been mentioned in some of my horse literature when I was a kid in the 60's and '70's. Old Putnam was also an amazing war horse, who pulled cannons into position for the Army, IIRC, and I found more about him than I ever did Reckless (at least, in books, back in the day). On the internet, I can't find anything about Putnam.
