Not op, but I both agree and disagree with your points. I do think part 1 was pretty rushed and the development to friendship was severely lacking. For the most part, I think it's just Naruto really wanting to be acknowledged by Sasuke because of his own projections and insecurities. There's no real attempt at friendship, but as rivals they did connect and that's one of the bigger reasons why their relationship is more dynamic. Valley of the end arc shows that. Not friends, but brothers. Sasuke's always been that measuring stick for Naruto while Sasuke himself doesn't care as long as he's stronger than Naruto.

Hinata may have an understanding of Naruto, but it's on a very specific narrow aspect. She admires and understands what she wants to see, but Naruto has shown very very few moments where the feelings are reversed other than the understanding that they're both lacking and were underestimated. In all honesty, I think that theme works better with Lee and emphasized with Neji.

SA.

I agree with this tbh, but in the realm of "Big 3 + 1" love interests for Naruto, I think Hinata has a greater understanding than Sakura or Sasuke and maybe more importantly a greater willingness to understand Naruto than either of them. I like Naruto and Sakura's friendship but they often seem to be at cross purposes when it comes to communicating and stuff like dealing with Jiraiya's death.

Of course in a perfect world I would have NaruSai but :(
