I...feel like it's premature to define how much it fits the definition of love triangle (fuck the idea that characters moving on and trying out different relationships like actual people = love triangles) or of how it makes the characters look. Like really premature. But on the other hand I don't trust what Davis says, so whatever.

TBH this threesome does hold a hell of a lot more of a basis than Derek/Stiles (oooh how dare I) but it's probably even less likely to become canon because polyamory is largely invisible.
