Air Fore has OTS, and is generally seen as (at least physially) the easiest of the officer trainings to accomplish. However, lots of people want to join Air Fore OTS, and there's about a year's wait in between being accepted to actually going to training. They may hae postponed any upcoming recruitment, too, from the large supply and dwindling demand from the draw down.

It's also extremely competitive, and favors people with hard science degrees, and from what I'e understood has very rigorous academic work.

If you mean just enlisted, then go for it; they're pretty muh always taking in recruits.

Join the Coastguard. It is the only branch of the military that has a worthwhile role.
