Maybe people can ship just Nathan/Audrey because she chose Nathan, not Duke? Duke loves Audrey, and she cares about Duke a lot, but she said it was Nathan she'd always loved. The slashers like to ship Duke/Nathan, though, so I can see how people would want to solve their shippy woes with jazz hands magic OT3, but canon doesn't seem to care about your slash or OT3 love, op, sorry to say. :(
