Re: Military "advice"

TBH this is kind of eerie, as you're the 2nd person I'e met online through fandom who's been a former instructor at Huachuca-- in fact, you probably knew that guy, as he'd been an instructor for a while, and only recently retired.

I hae quite a few attractive civilian skills for a 35 slot, so I was hoping maybe to go ACASP should I go enlisted, but god only knows what the sequestration will do. :/ I'm 2+ in Arabic, 3 in French, and I'm starting out in Korean and Chinese, and hae some Masters level intel analysis ourses under my belt. So who knows?

But thanks for the encouraging news re: the BOLC classes, especially with MI! If things don't go as planned with my applications to the Alphabet Agencies, at least now I know my hopes for a military spot aren't boned. Most of the OCS websites were pretty doom and gloom for a while.

I guess it makes a lot of sense-- with our troop strength downsized, I read somewhere that our focus lands on intelligence. Which is good by me.

Thank you, recruiter!anon, you have given this .mil hopeful, uh... hope!
