Well, I'm not so sure if they ever get reunited.

1) They are important for each other's character growth, but they may have played the whole part already without any need to meet in person anymore since they will be different people anyway (The Hound hopefully a monk or something).

2) Even if GRRM had their reunion in mind at some point, he's just too sick and tired of the whole ASOIAF million-diverging-storylines borefest to do any writing at this point.

Not to mention that the whole Westeros should be buried in 20 feet of snow and swamped by winter zombies pretty soon which will make getting around and socializing a bit difficult.
