I just read the plot summary on wikipedia and ... man, it was stupid. Especially the song part at the end. Mean Girls isn't exactly one of my favorite movies, but this one sounds even worse. What's the great part of the movie? The hamfisted message about reputations and popularity?

It was a joke. Olive put on a skimpy outfit and sang about knocking on wood during the pep rally to trick people into watching her webcast, where she explained the truth.

This. Her whole point with that was to get people hyped up about the cast - and to trick people since she thought that was the only way they'd be convinced to watch.

It's a teen comedy. I doubt that it's going to have extra layers and nuances that aren't obvious from the summary. If there's something essential that the summary is getting wrong or missing, feel free to correct me.
