It is not imperative to like classical literature, no matter who you are and what you do. Whilst one can hardly claim that Shakespeare's works are poor technique-wise, the plots can be less or more appealing to different individuals. It can, of course, be due to your tender age; on the other hand, it is entirely possible that your sentiments regarding his plays are just as legitimate as anyone else's.

[When I was a child, btw, I considered Shakespeare stupid and sappy. I also believed that Pushkin was a mediocre poet and a good prose writer. Both these opinions have changed since then, but I still see the reasons behind them.]

Rock on, OP. It is cool that you found something you enjoy doing.
