Ditto what a bunch of people said about watching/listening to his works vs reading them. My eyes glaze over whenever I try to read any of them. Although even while watching a movie version, I have to have the subtitles on to absorb everything.

Favorite version I've seen of anything was Pericles done by a local Shakespeare theatre, so even though they're both visual mediums movie vs theatre carries a huge difference. I liked that one so much I really do want to see others performed live.
