Free, legal, painless, and assisted? That's a lovely pipe dream right there.

pretty fucked up, too. I can think of a thousand ways it could go wrong. I imagine there would have to be a thorough psychological evaluation process to make sure the desire to commit suicide wasn't just a whim or a consequence of a mental illness that could be treated. I'm bi-polar and before I was diagnosed there were periods when I was very depressed and borderline suicidal but then there would be long stretches where I was totally fine. Therapy and medication has helped a lot, and ultimately I'm happy to be alive. It would be pretty awful if someone when to a suicide clinic or whatever when they were on a down swing and made a choice they couldn't take back. I would foresee many lawsuits
