Re: How did you start writing fic?

i think you have plenty of responses to draw from but i couldn't help but toss my two cents in here too :)

i started writing when i was in 2nd grade--i remember typing "chaptered" stories up on a computer at home and there would be like 3 paragraphs to a chapter and i would put page breaks between each chapter. and then i printed it out using one of those printers that uses the papers that are attache to each other that are fed through with the holes on the edges that you can rip of--ANYONE KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT?? fanfic wise, definitely wrote redwall inspired pokemon fanfic in 5th grade, no shame.

i rarely write unless i'm hit with an idea--but the moment i start putting that idea down on paper, i can't stop until i've finished. ideas hit depending on how busy i am or how much i like the fandom--minimum of once a year, maximum of once a month.

i do. i'm horribly unoriginal when it comes to fic--i either pick up prompts that appeal to me or i write fusions. i also have some original ideas but i tend to save those for the hypothetical original fic i'm going to write when i find the time/motivation.

i start off thinking that i'm going to write a short work but then it usually grows into this monstrosity of a thing that leaves me crying and typing while imploring the fic to please finish already

i'm very fandom monogamous unless i'm in between fandoms.

haha i guess if we melded into one person, we'd be a pretty productive writer :DDD
