I thought Meet the Robinsons was pretty cool. (-:

I swear I made this secret in my sleep.

The last time I watched this movie, that quote made me burst out in tears. The movie is great and I love the message in it.

[I've never seenpretty the movie so I can't really speak for that] Walt was a interesting guy, and he did do a lot of animation.

[Picture is white and blue text over a blank black background. The fandom is marked as "Meet the Robinsons."

This part of the movie ALWAYS makes me tear up.

"Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious... And curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."

Walt Disney

Secret because: I feel like no one cares about the movie at all, let alone how it makes me feel.

I honestly really enjoyed this movie. Only have a vague memory of it, since I saw it once and a few years ago at that, but it was surprisingly good.

this movie makes me cry like a little bitch. not just this part, either. many scenes were viewed through a veil of poorly-masked tears.

i originally saw it for the t-rex and was not expected to be blanketed in a large and embarrassing sheet of emotions, or the insistence afterwards that one day i was definitely adopting kids because...... REASONS

ugh this damn movie. THIS DAMN MOVIE.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-01 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that movie made me realize that I might want to be a foster parent one day. Quite a punch in the gut when I was eighteen, I tell you what.

i think i was 16, which also might be a weird age to think about adopting. good to know i'm not the only one tho

(Anonymous) 2013-09-02 10:08 am (UTC)(link)
Are you me? Because I totally saw this movie for the t-Rex ("I have a big head and little arms" cracks me up every time) but came away loving it for other reasons. I kinda always wanted to adopt, maybe because my mom was adopted, but this movie cemented it for me. I totally cried through it, especially when that song plays, can't remember the name, maybe "These Small Hours"?

<3 Meet the Robinsons.

Little Wonders - Rob Thomas. I haven't even seen the movie and it still makes me cry like an idiot.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-01 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not my very favorite Disney film, but I liked it a lot and I really enjoyed its message too.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-01 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Meet the Robinsons is one of the few movies guaranteed to make me cry every time I watch it. I SHARE YOUR FEELINGS, OP.

I love this movie. As much for the family dynamics as the comedy, and how it very cleverly reminds you just how much your actions (no matter how small or insignificant they may seem to you) can affect someone else.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-01 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I cry at that bit too, OP. Actually, I cry during quite a bit of that movie. It's also a really good movie.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-01 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I cry like a little kid, anon, every single time. I love that the whole movie is based around the idea that you can choose your family, and they're still your family, no matter what. That Louis chose to move forward, to the family waiting for him, and then they adopt him and buy that observatory and the song comes one and...(oh fucking hell, I'm tearing up now)

(Anonymous) 2013-09-01 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I freaking love this movie, OP, though it doesn't make me cry. Though that's prolly cause I'm a cold-hearted bitch who doesn't cry at anything. Anyways, this is my favorite movie and its so underrated. I hate that Disney doesn't even mention it anymore because I have so many feels for this movie. But no, everyone always talks about Ratatouille, which was just a boring movie for me while I was supremely entertained in so many ways by MtR.

Anyways, just here to say it's good to know other people exist that love MtR, even if it isn't to the degree I do.

I remember replaying the last five minutes of this movie when I first got the CD.

You have good taste OP. :)

I love this movie. It gives me the feels. :)

Well, it did come out at the same time as Ratatouille and at that point Pixar still overshadowed Disney in the 3D department.

It was better than I expected when I first watched it story-wise and while I didn't cry I did get the feels. Wasn't a big fan of the animation/design, though. I wasn't really big on Disney's 3D aesthetic until Tangled.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-02 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Me too OP. Me too. It is my favorite Disney movie ever and I watch it every new years because it gives me hope for the new year. And that quote makes me cry everytime.

Hell I finally got the movie poster and when I was hanging it up this weekend, I teared up. I wish it wasn't so forgotten.

(Anonymous) 2013-09-02 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Meet the Robinsons is seriously the most underrated Disney movie of all time. You're not alone in your love, OP!

(Anonymous) 2013-09-02 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
It touched me deeply, too. <3
